Abstract
The rapid evolution of musical synthesis and synthetic voice reproduction tools require the concurrent development of new appropriate interfaces and platforms. Moreover, the existence of musical tunings, which do not compromise with the western music approach, requires the addition of extra dimensions in specifications like MIDI. This paper proposes the N-Delta model for music composition and voice reproduction. \´N-Delta Builder\´ is an extensible, graphical, multimodal, platform-independent application for interactive, real-time design of voice signals. The N-Delta prototype aims to provide the ethnomusicology with a model for the standardization of future musical interfaces on a more "chromatic" basis.
