  • Abstract
    We are expanding upon an earlier model used by Hutchinson to predict solid state passive Q-switching of the Yb,Er:phosphate glass laser. We are able to model different saturable media and gain materials by using adjustable spectroscopic parameters and cavity configurations, including those parameters necessary to predict optimum performance for diode-array pumped Q-switched microchip lasers
