Abstract
This work consists of the exhibition of the acquired experiences with the application of the first electricity prepayment system in Brazil installed in an isolated community (Sao Tome village), located in the Amazon Region, being supplied by electric power through a hybrid PV-wind-diesel system generation. In this way the characterization of the communities is presented (location, socioeconomic profile and load data), the description of the hybrid system and in details the prepayment system. Besides, it is numbered as the benefits (advantages) as the proportioned disadvantages to the components of the electric system of the village with the use of this last one and the acceptance degree of the local population.
