Abstract
Simple mass-spring model of fixed parameters is often used as the complex turbine-generator shaft model when simulating subsynchronous resonance, but which cannot describe the torsional vibration characteristics very well. For the generalization of simulation result, simple mass-spring model of uncertain parameters was used as the shaft model. Firstly, the sensitivity of shaft parameter on torsional vibration frequency was calculated for the example of IEEE first benchmark model and the effect of shaft parameter variation on simulating subsynchronous resonance was analyzed. Then, the relationship of shaft parameter uncertainty and torsional oscillation was simplified by probabilistic collocation method. The uncertainty of SSR was analyzed for normal distribution of shaft parameter.
