Abstract
In this paper, novel single-layer left-handed material, consisting of split-square LC resonator (SSLC) coupling with modified H-shaped structure, is proposed. The related electromagnetic characteristics are studied by retrieving constitutive parameters from the simulated scattering parameters. Numerical results show that the negative permeability band of SSLC is relatively broad. The negative refraction of H-SSLC is achieved by overlapping the simultaneously negative permittivity and permeability of the two elements. This new structure may open a way to prepare the application of left-handed material.
