  • Abstract
In order to investigate the affect of propeller loads on transient stability of ship power systems, this paper focuses on the model and the problems of integrated coordinate control of ship multi-machine power systems with propeller loads. A control algorithm is developed based on Hamilton energy theory which produces a coordinate control law involved in excitation and speed-adjusting. On the basis of sufficient analysis of the nonlinear coupling relations between ship diesel engine generator and propeller model. A stabilizing integrated controller is proposed by constructing Hamilton energy function. Simulations illustrate that under the conditions of abruptly added propeller the proposed controller can effectively restrict the influence of the loads, which shows the robustness of the proposed controller.
