Abstract
Breakdown happening during space charge detrapping without applied field is called space charge breakdown. Space charge breakdown in inorganic nano powder/PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) composites is studied in this investigation. Nano additive shows significant impact on the space charge behavior of nano powder/PMMA composites. Appropriate proportion of inorganic oxide nano powder can obviously restrict the development of space charge breakdown, but excessive nano powder shows opposite effect. Nano inorganic oxide with higher permittivity indicates greater impact on space charge behavior in nano/PMMA composites. Mechanism of interaction between captured space charge and nano composite is discussed in this paper
