  • Abstract
    In order to deal with the incomplete and indeterminate as well as fuzzy fault symptom information in process of transformer insulation fault diagnosis, fuzzy subjection functions for various fault symptoms are designed in the paper. Then, a novel transformer insulation fault diagnosis method called fuzzy expert system is proposed. The method firstly establishes fuzzy faults diagnosis matrix based to field experts knowledge, meanwhile, prior probability of each fault occurrence is also fully considered, a fuzzy inference expert system for that is formed. By the use of it in the triple-ratio coded transformer insulation fault diagnosis, the application results indicate that the method is a very effective
