  • Abstract
A new joint blind maximum likelihood sequence estimator (JBMLSE) for detecting co-channel PSK signals is presented. It appears this is the first paper to examine the joint blind MLSE for time varying channels. By exploiting the temporal structure of both signals and channels, the JBMLSE is able to distinguish the co-channel signals and estimate the Rayleigh channels without using training signals or additional coding schemes. The uniqueness of the estimates is studied for PSK signals. An efficient algorithm is presented, and simulation results demonstrate its promising performance and practical implications
