Abstract
This research studies three important decision variables of the lead-time setting, capacity utilization, and pricing decision faced by a firm using the production seat booking system under build-to-order manufacturing environment. The system is modeled as an M/D/1 queue structure and optimization models are developed to determine these variables. The optimal decisions are then derived and their properties are investigated as model parameters change.
