Abstract
This paper presents a robust output current control method with a disturbance observer for a matrix converter under an unbalanced input voltage. Adapting the disturbance observer to an output current control, the current control can be realized without an influence for an unbalanced input voltage and for a change of load parameters, a resistance or an inductance and so on. Finally, this current control is robustness for these conditions. The proposed method is effective for the applications of high performance AC motor drive employing a vector control because we assume a use of vector control. A validity of the proposed method is shown by a theoretical analysis using a Bode diagram and confirmed by the simulation results. The analysis with Bode diagram is first shown in this paper.
