Abstract
A novel variation of the vee dipole is introduced. This new geometry, called a double-vee dipole, has more directive gain in the mainlobe and has significantly smaller sidelobes than the conventional vee-dipole. The antenna is modeled and the results are formulated for the design of double-vee dipoles of different lengths and angles. A double-vee dipole was fabricated and measurements are shown to match predictions.
