  • Abstract
    The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of green roof on urban ecological environment and indoor environment for green buildings. The human settlement and indoor environment of green buildings and common buildings were evaluated based on green building assessment system. Results show that green roof could directly weaken the urban heat island effect and greenhouse gases. The temperature of roof inner surface is reduced, and indoor thermal comfort is effectively improved. The energy consumption in green roof buildings is not too great, but residential quality is very satisfactory. Green roof is one of effectively technical measures of development low-carbon building and low-carbon city.
