  • Abstract
Electrical activity of the heart recorded by a 12-lead Electrocardiogram is important in detecting cardiac abnormalities. The 12-leads can be seen as the components of heart vector which originates from the center of the heart. These components spread over the frontal and transverse plane and have information about various parts of the heart. Increasing the number of these components will increase the spatial resolution thereby enhancing the information contained in the heart vector. In this work, a projection based approach is proposed for producing super-resolution ECG. This method is evaluated by taking the Pearson correlation coefficient between the standard leads and the derived leads. Results show that some of the derived leads may be used as new leads to generate a super-resolution ECG which contain diagnostic information.
