  • Abstract
In order to study L-shaped concrete-filled steel tube core columns mechanical property and influencing factors in depth, in this paper, finite element analysis program ABAQUS is used to analyze the mechanical properties of four various eccentricities of L-shaped concrete-filled steel tube core columns. From the load-vertical displacement curves and the load deflection curves and load-strain curves, we found, within the limit of the study, eccentricity is the main effect factor of capacity of L-shaped concrete-filled steel tube core columns. With the increasing of eccentricity, the constraint force which steel tube provided to the core concrete getting smaller, the ultimate bearing capacity of specimens reduced significantly. At the same time, the longitudinal deformation and deflection of specimens increase gradually.
