  • Abstract
The paper proposes and demonstrates a novel protein microarray chip with an embedded microchannel array for the delivery of protein separately. This chip system is applicable to high throughput disease diagnosis and drug screening. Demonstration in spot formations by the novel design using MEMS technology and characterization of the spot-forming process by numerical simulations are performed to illustrate the feasibility and the advantages of the presented design.
