Abstract
A novel approach to frequency hopping using a continuous time bandpass (CTBP) DeltaSigma modulator with fractional delay and a manchester encoder/decoder is presented. Suitability of the proposed architecture is discussed in the context of a software defined radio. A gm-C filter topology for implementing the DeltaSigma loop filter is presented, the other main system blocks are discussed as well. Mixed-signal behavioural simulations confirm the validity of the concept.
