  • Abstract
    Finite element analysis can be used as a effective tool for study of AC electromagnet. In this paper, suction properties of AC plunger electromagnet was investigated based on Ansoft.a finite-element analysis software. The emulation analysis determines instantaneous armature force and time average armature force at different conditions. The effect of eddy currents in the shading ring and other part of AC electromagnet was discussed. At last, The emulation analysis results compare favorably with experimentally measured values of armature force.
