Abstract
In this paper, we discuss sequential decoding of recursive systematic convolutional codes using a modified stack decoding technique. The classical stack decoder is extended to generate a twin stack decoder. The motivation for the twin stack decoder is to get soft information from a stack decoder. We present some performance predictors for various constraint lengths of the encoder, with and without side information, and compare it with actual simulation results
