Abstract
This paper presents a position about computer aided instruction in microelectronics by using the resources of the World Wide Web. It introduces a course that is under construction using a browser as primary user interface and the WWW multiplatform protocols. The hypertext and multimedia features increase the teaching potential, in addition to recent technologies like VRML, which is used to build 3D descriptions of integrated circuits. Some examples of VRML applications are shown
