Abstract
A Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA) used in Analog Front End (AFE) is designed to multiply the input voltage by factors of 1, 2, 4, 10, 20, 40, 100, 200 and 400V/V. The multiplication factor of the PGA can be changed via a collection of the logic bits. The PGA is designed in TSMC 0.18um 1P6M Mixed-Mode technology with a signal power supply of 1.8V and the total power dissipation is below 5mW.
