  • Abstract
    Hydrogenation greatly affects mechanical properties. The effect depends on the material state (surface layer condition, form and size of grains, quantity of defect phase, level of internal stresses etc.) and treatment condition (temperature, density of hydrogenation etc.). A small amount of hydrogenation increases the strength and plasticity of pure titanium under tension. The aim of this paper is to study the effect of hydrogenation on titanium under compression and 3-point bending.
