Abstract
The properties of the field emitter, activated by the various adsorbates or by the thermal and field treatment, are considered from the point of view of their use in vacuum microelectronics. The unevenness of the emission flows from the tip, the peculiarity of the field emission energy spectra and the factors that influence these characteristics, are discussed
