  • Abstract
Radiofrequency (RF) coils for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and spectroscopy (MRS) have been developed for resonance at 8.3 MHz, and 200 MHz. The coils work in any direction in the main static magnetic field of MRI machines. Therefore, the coil has at least two loops orthogonal to each other. At least one loop of the coil generates magnetic flux which has a perpendicular component to the main static magnetic field. A few MR images of plant samples obtained by the use of the developed coil are demonstrated.
