Abstract
This paper presents a new transmission line parameter estimation method that is based on long-term (one-week) synchronized phasor measurements performed at both ends of a line. It is shown that such a method is necessary because of differences in calculation results using commercial software and because of parameter uncertainties. Simulation results show the applicability of the method, and field test results are also presented proving its efficiency as well.
