  • Abstract
    The protein folding problem is still unsolved due to the large multidimensional conformation space possessed by a protein molecule. The study investigated the application of genetic algorithms (GAs) for the purpose of predicting the tertiary structure of single peptide chains. The search algorithm based on a GA was shown to be superior to a similar scheme using the popular simulated annealing method
