Abstract
Interactive media systems make it possible for users to extract information from an interactive environment by traditional computer vision techniques. This paper emphasizes the important modules in an interactive video application: extracting visual events. After analyzing and implementing the MIT technical report about identification and extraction of visual events, some problems of the algorithm are discussed in detail. Improvements of the speck module and the fill module are proposed. Finally, the result of the proposed approach and the future work are presented
