  • Abstract
In this paper, a new approach for designing regulators is proposed to stabilize highly nonlinear chaotic systems. The Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) model is adopted to model chaotic system. To stabilize the nonlinear system, an optimal state feedback is derived to minimize a quadratic cost function based on a global search method. The repeated weighted boosting search (RWBS) method, which is extremely rapid and easy to implement, is used to find the optimal state feedback parameters. The efficiency of proposed method is demonstrated by implementing it to regulate the chaotic Lorenz system.
