Abstract
A method of representing fuzzy knowledge using associative memories, the Fuzzy Associative Inference System (FAIS), is proposed. FAIS integrates representation of uncertain knowledge in fuzzy knowledge and associative memories´ abilities of inference and learning, making it possible to manage representation, manipulation, and refinement of knowledge throughout. Knowledge representation in FAIS is discussed, and characteristic features, multidirectional inference and fuzzy entropy control, are shown with simulation results
