Abstract
A method for obtaining the convergence speed of an adaptive IIR notch filter realized with floating-point arithmetic is proposed. Expressions for the necessary iterations of convergence are derived. The analysis clarifies the effects of quantization error on the convergence behavior of the variable coefficient. The results of computer simulations are presented to substantiate the analysis
