Abstract
Intensity instabilities in long external compound cavity semiconductor laser are experimentally studied. The intensity drop events which is referred to low frequency fluctuation (LFF) are observed. The laser output with LFF is controlled to a periodic oscillation by applying the current modulation to the semiconductor laser
