Abstract
In order to simulate accurately the operation of electric machine/power converter systems, their parameters must be available. A method of measuring the parameters of a six-phase synchronous machine is described. The measured parameters are used in a computer simulation of an electric machine/cycloconverter system. A comparison of the performance of this system predicted by computer simulation with laboratory tests verifies the accuracy of the simulation and thus the method of parameter measurement
