Abstract
The authors discuss software development for automatic data acquisition in a resistivity measurement system, and use it as an example to examine the object-oriented design principle for scientific computation. The literature in software methodology for scientific computing is relatively scanty so far, this paper serves as a contribution to the exploration of this area
