  • Abstract
In this demodulation system, the principle and fabrication of Long Period Fiber Grating(LPFG)were discussed , and LPFG was employed as a linear edge filter because of its high degree of fitting and high slope efficiency. The background noise is eliminated by the comparing the reference signal and filter signal. LabVIEW is used to acquire and analyze data as processing function module. Sensitivity of the detecting wavelength can reach over 1.13 pm/mV (in 2-150 Hz) and the dynamic range is 50-60 dB, and the resolution can reach to 0.0799 pm/√Hz. These data show that this demodulation system is high sensitive, good steady, quick speed, and it can be used to seismic exploration.
