Abstract
Very fine coaxial cable assemblies of connector in the K, V, and W bands are required eagerly for many applications of millimeter wave technology. Precise and practical design techniques are presented through modeling the reflection coefficients of the step discontinuities in the connector and on the junction to the cable. A very broadband property is obtained. Measurement results are presented for a 1.85 mm V-band connector and 1.2 mm semi-rigid cable assembly, and VSWR is less than 1.2 up to 67 GHz
