Abstract
A bubble-based chemical reaction/analysis system is proposed that uses electrostatic micromanipulation. Micro/nanoliter-sized bubbles are set in a liquid layer below an electrode array device. The micro bubbles are manipulated smoothly by the electrostatic force generated by the electrode array. A chemical reaction between two gas reagents, exemplified by 2NO+O2→2NO2, has been demonstrated.
