  • Abstract
Both persistent connecting devices and nonpersistent connecting devices exist in the mobile learning environment, therefore the mobile agent code migration strategies based either on the all-code transmission plus mobile-code-source manner or on the needed-code transmission plus the fixed- code- source manner do not satisfy this situation in mobile computing systems in deed. in this paper, a flexible code migration strategy which integrates the all-code transmission plus mobile-code-source manner and the needed-code transmission plus fixed-code-source manner is presented. A mobile agent code conformation algorithm, a code storage structure and a code transmission procedure are also described. Tested by some experiments, it shows that the code migration strategy presented in this paper is more flexible than others, and on the other side both code conformation algorithm and the code storage structure can support the code transmission efficiently.
