  • Abstract
In this paper we develop a time-dependent four-compartment model to simulate the distribution of indocyanine green (ICG) in healthy human breast tissue and tumor breast tissue. This program provides a development environment of model simulation and data analysis of the major factors that contribute to distribution of ICG in our model. The simulation results show that our time-dependent four-compartment model can describe the delivery of ICG injected intravenously into the human subject and assist in cancer diagnosis. The physiologic parameters of ICG delivery from capillary to binding site in human tumor tissue are simulated. This model can provide useful physiologic information of ICG uptake kinetics in human breast tissue and can be applied to other beacons. The model has been applied to the available data on ICG uptake and in 3 different types of breast carcinoma, under this, found that the model can distinguish 2-3 cancers quantitatively on the kinetic basis
