Abstract
Presents the development of a high-precision digital intelligent magnetic heading system for land vehicle initial alignment. The system is capable of compensating for compass error under different environment conditions. For this purpose, a new fuzzy-set and neural-network technique is adopted to improve the accuracy of complete compensation of the compass error. The system may be trained in real time, and is applicable to practical use. Experimental data is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the system
