Abstract
In an array-based high resolution direction finding system, the non-uniform linear antenna array(NLA) is a widely-used geometric configuration of array. The direction finding ambiguity of NLA is studied in the paper, the cause of the array´s direction finding ambiguity is analysed based on the theoretically, the idea of the array redundancy and the geometric configuration of NLA is studied. Relationship between the direction finding ambiguity performance and geometric configuration of NLA is revealed. It offers a guide and reference to choose and construct NLA in project application to avoid the blindness and willingness of the system design.
