Abstract
The author discusses the possibility of using mobile robot technology for demining. The financing for such research and a plan of action are outlined. The research on sensors is briefly outlined. The author then discusses the EPFL DeTeC project for a demining robot (Pemex-anti-personnel mine explorer). A test system is described. The development of ground penetrating radar and induction coil sensors is discussed
