Advice of Charge in Telecommunication Services

The tariff packages in the mobile telecommunication industry have got more and more complex in the last few years. The telecommunication companies have introduced several different services among with different discounts and allowances, and the price calculation of the service, and the understand of prices became harder for the subscribers. Because of this, the advice of charge functionality is sorely needed. Sadly, the legacy charging systems do not have the appropriate mathematical model to aid this functionality. In this paper we present a novel model for price calculation, which is capable of the advice of charge functionality. Moreover we present three different AoC models, and we show their advantages with a simulation.
