Abstract
This paper mainly investigates the regenerative damper (RG damper) from three aspects. In the first part, the author introduces the structure of regenerative damper, analyses the advantages and disadvantages of three types of current regenerative suspension and proposes a novel regenerative damper structure. In the second part, it firstly reviews the control problem of RG damper and proposes a new problem, then summarizes its control characteristic. The third part is about the dynamic modeling of the regenerative damper with rotary motor. In this pat, it firstly points out the modeling problem in previous literatures and then derives its complete dynamic model for regenerative suspension.
