Abstract
As one of the most important means and trends of modern products´ design and serialization, parametric modeling is beneficial to the building and management of products´ part library so as to monitor the cost. Flexure hinges are the essential kinematic pair in compliant mechanism, realizing motion and transmission of power. The design of flexure hinges is the key to that of compliant mechanism. This paper makes a theoretical analysis and research on flexure hinges in terms of rotational capacity, precision of rotation, stress, ect.; builds a three dimensional parametric model of single-axis flexure hinges on the basis of VC++ and Pro/E; produces database of flexure hinge materials and a software for the analysis of its kinematic performance; the paper in the end provides a sample analysis of flexure hinges.
