Abstract

In the past two decades, our perspective on system integration (SI) has changed greatly. Several disciplines have done much work on SI and are advancing new techniques unceasingly to resolve problems that arose from distribution, heterogeneity and autonomy. We have studied several new techniques widely used in SI, such as the Extensible Markup Language (XML), CORBA and agents. We propose an integrated model based on these techniques to improve performance and apply it in intelligent building system integration
