  • Abstract
    According to actual recorded data, this paper establishes simulation model of impact load system combining practical situation of distribution network, taking electric arc furnace as a representative load, the text analyzes power quality problems such as voltage flicker, imbalance and harmonic caused by electric arc furnace. Based on this, compensation effects of adopting two types typical parallel compensation device SVC and STATCOM are contrastively analyzed, and the dominance of DSTATCOM compensating impact load is elaborated.
