  • Abstract
    To satisfy the requirements and resolve the existing problems of the relay protection of the distribution system under high distributed generation (DG) penetration level, a regional longitudinal comparison scheme is introduced in this paper. The composition and algorithm of fault directional relay are also discussed. Simulations based on PSCAD show that the fault detection algorithm is correct and effective.
