Abstract
This paper presents a method to verify the adequacy of voltage control actions in the operation of electrical systems. The assessment is done through a sensitivity matrix, whose characteristics are presented and discussed. The goal is to identify whether the usual logic of voltage controlling equipment is occurring normally or not. It is also verified the resultant effect of the control performed by each controlling device on other buses of the grid with controlled voltage. An analysis based on eigenvalues and eigenvectors, associated to the sensitivity matrix, is applied to the problem.
