  • Abstract
    This paper presents an equivalent circuit model for leaky coaxial cable with rectangular slots, the circuit model is analyzed with the help of commercial software-HFSS. The results show that the mutual coupling between slots is tiny, and can be neglected, even for the two close adjoining slots. The effect of rectangular slot parameters, such as flare angle, inclined angle, on the impedance of the circuit model is analyzed, and the corresponding radiation characteristic of the slots is then evaluated through the real part of impedance of the slot. The method of using coupling loss to compensate the transmission loss is discussed. Finally, an efficient method for calculating S-parameter of the whole LCX is given.
