Abstract
A reconfigurable multiwavelength crossconnect (MXC) based in fiber Bragg gratings integrated with optical limiting amplifiers is investigated. The MXC has high input dynamic range of over 20 dB. Small power penalty of 0.6 and 1.0 dB for the crossconnect and passing through signal is demonstrated for a 2.5 Gbit/s/spl times/2 100-km system.
